I do like Bluehost, and Midphase . Of course, Hostgator is the big man on campus while providing excellent service and support.

Well, that's a lot to reply to...
Each webinar provider has its own set of services and support. By its nature, a webinar will not need landlines as everyone is on a website watching the presentation. Several of the services do provide a true teleconference, but there would be no video. Almost all provider use VOIP for landlines as it is so cheap. You will pay for "seats" which is the maximum number of allowed participants.

Most webinars are live presentations plus the service records for an extra fee. Then you can just send out a link to your members that were unable to attend and they see a word-for-word playback. This would not allow interaction, of course, but they can at least absorb the info.

Most of the references you have listed identify services that deliver marketing/sales/in-house training content. I am a director of a 200-member not-for-profit professional association that wants to offer information-rich seminars to its members via the Web. If the audio component is communicated by dial-in land-line, is the cost of long distance charges time/distance-based for each participant, or are bulk rates available? Alternatively, is live or pre-recorded video-cam presentation combining both speakers' audio and visual slide material over the Web a less expensive way to go? Which provider would best deliver the kind of services we are looking for?

Thank you for this post. I've actually been researching different hosting companies to find my new host. So far I've been considering using BlueHost. In general, the reviews of them seem pretty good and their plan suits my needs. Do you think this is a good idea? -- Jake
